Most of us don’t give our body the rest it needs. Not just sleep. Rest. There’s a stigma that rest is a sign of weakness or lack of productivity, so we struggle and endure to keep from falling from behind. Ironically, setting ourselves further behind. We spend most of our day in Fight or Flight mode as we encounter all types of stressful situations. This can lead to health complications including indigestion, constipation, anxiety, shallow breathing, poor sleep, irritability, inflammation, and a suppressed immune system.
This workshop is designed to activate your body’s Rest and Digest response. Stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system while disengaging the sympathetic nervous system, creating a balance that travels through the body. Some of the effects of activating the Rest and Digest response include slowing your heart rate, improved digestion, stress reduction, and decreased muscle tension.
